Introducing Randy Kessler ...
"Having known Randy for many years, our firms have worked together to achieve exceptional results for our clients. I am always confident referring clients and friends in Georgia to Randy's firm. Several years ago, I invited Randy to speak to the TBA Family Law Section touring Tennessee in our four major cities. Randy's presentations were phenomenal. Without a doubt, he is one of the most important family lawyers in America today."

He has authored the book, “Divorce: Protect Yourself, Your Kids, and Your Future”, and is Publisher/Editor, of “Next” Magazine.
Born in Gainesville, Florida, and raised in New Orleans, Mr. Kessler graduated from Brandeis University and received his J.D. from Emory Law School. He is the Founding Partner at Kessler & Solomiany, and has over 25 years experience in Domestic Relations and Family Law matters including divorce, child support, child custody, paternity, prenuptial agreements.
Randy Kessler lectures regularly at Continuing Legal Education Seminars. He has taught trial techniques at Emory Law School’s Trial Techniques Program, and for the past decade, he has taught a Family Law course at Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School. Additionally, he has lectured for the American Bar Association, the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, the Georgia Psychological Association, the Georgia Society of CPA’s, the NFLPA, and other organizations across the country as well as in Canada, Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic and Mexico.
Mr. Kessler was elected to serve as the Chair of the Family Law Sections of both the American Bar Association and the Georgia Bar Association for 2011-2012. He has also served as the Editor of the Family Law Review for the State Bar of Georgia and is the former Chair of the Family Courts Committee of the Family Law Section of the American Bar Association.
Randy Kessler isn’t a fan of fighting it out in court: “That should be the last-case scenario,” he says. He is however, a firm believer in preparing for war in order to achieve peace! “If your adversary’s lawyer knows you’re afraid to go to court or don’t want to go to court, it’s a whole lot easier [for him or her] to push you around.” He has therefore structured his firm to make sure he has all the necessary resources at his disposal for making either war or peace—with several lawyers trained in mediation and several trained in litigation
Randy Kessler has represented celebrities, such as former Denver Broncos running back Travis Henry, New York Jets wide receiver Braylon Edwards and NeNe Leakes of The Real Housewives of Atlanta. He’s represented the spouses of celebrities, such as the wife of R&B singer Usher. He’s gone after high profile athletes, performers and entertainers for child support, when it proved necessary. Those cases have put Mr. Kessler in the news, but the vast majority of cases litigated by his firm, Kessler & Solomiany, don’t involve celebrities. They are average hard working men and women who find themselves in very difficult situations, and need help.
One might attribute Mr. Kessler’s success to skill, resources and tenacity, but ultimately what it comes down to is an inherent affinity he harbors for family. The American Diabetes Association recently crowned Kessler “Father of the Year”. In his words, “There are thousands of good parents out there and I was just one that they happened to hear of,” Kessler has modestly said of this honor. It is quite evident to anyone who knows him however, that of all the titles and positions he holds, Husband and Father are the ones he considers to be the most important. Randy Kessler met his wife just after law school but they didn’t get married until they were both in their 40s. They are now devoted parents.
He sums up his commitment to Family and to the practice of Family Law in these words, “I have had a passion for family law ever since I started working in this field during my first summer in law school in 1986. Having practiced family law ever since, having Chaired the Family Law Sections of the Atlanta, Georgia & American Bar Associations, having written “Divorce: Protect Yourself…” and the “Georgia Library of Family Law Forms”, having taught Family Law at John Marshall Law School in Atlanta for over 10 years and having been fortunate to have been hired by some of the most well known and high profile people in the country as well as many who are not in the spotlight, I have learned a lot about family law and a lot about people. I am grateful to be able to work in an area where I can truly make a difference in people’s lives and I and my firm work hard to make that a positive difference.”
